Today we released the version 3.1 of the privacyIDEA Credential Provider.
In this new version, the administrator can activate two factor authentication for remote or local logins separately from each other.
This way the administrator can achieve, that users need to provide a 2nd factor when accessing their desktops remotely, while locally users still only need their windows password.
About the privacyIDEA Credential Provider
With the privacyIDEA Credential Provider companies can use the centrally managed 2nd factors in privacyIDEA to require the user to provide this 2nd factor when accessing their Windows desktops or terminal servers. Via policies the administrator can control who needs a 2nd factor and where it is required.
Update and test the privacyIDEA Credential Provider
Customers with a valid subscription can download the new MSI installer of the Credential Provider from their repositories. We are happy to provide a demo subscription to interested customers to test the Credential Provider extensively.
