NetKnight’s Unconference 2025

This year, the NetKnights team traveled to Brilon for their annual unconference. During these days, we consciously take time to talk about topics that are important to us and to gather new ideas and inspiration. And of course, to spend time together.

NetKnights Unconference 2025 in Brilon

Our team held its annual unconference last week. This year we went to the Sauerland region. We met near Brilon to talk about technical and organizational topics that matter to us. Of course, team building was also an essential part of the unconference, because as the saying goes: “Team work makes the dream work”!

And we can already reveal that: We have quite a few dreams and visions!

But first, back to the beginning: On Tuesday, we set off for our accommodation in Brilon with a packed car. We met our colleagues there, who usually work remotely and had traveled from other corners of Germany.

After settling in, we started working on the topics we wanted to discuss in the following days. Once we had finished, we moved on to the culinary part of the evening and got busy chopping, cooking and barbecuing.

On Wednesday, we started the unconference content well rested and motivated. The evening before, our colleagues had the opportunity to vote on the proposed topics, from which the moderation team created an agenda.

From technical to organizational topics, everything was represented. The sales manager found himself in a technical topic and the developer brainstormed about customer engagement – we can think outside the box in our department, that’s for sure!

At the end of the day, our heads were buzzing and we came out of the day with lots of fresh ideas and inspiration.

To wrap up the unconference, we went to the Skywalk in Willingen on Thursday, where some of us faced their fear of heights on the sky walk. Fortunately, all members of the team have now returned safely to the office.

If you would also like to become part of a fun and, above all, motivated team and want to make a difference with us in terms of MFA and Open Source, then take a look at our job advertisements. We are currently looking for support in the area of consulting.
